That’s right – we’re bringing back the dunk tank! Drop by the CommUNITY BBQ on July 9th and soak an innocent victim for charity!
This year, we’re dunking for dollars! That means, our dunkees will ONLY get in the tank if they reach their fundraising goals. Five “dunkees” have agreed to be dunked if they raise $2,000 each!
None of these folks want to get dunked. And honestly, who can blame them? Sit in a cage while people aggressively chuck balls at a tiny target just for the privilege of watching you plunge into freezing water... all in the name of “charity”? Sounds like a weird group therapy session.
But as the wise Carl Jung probably never said: “Nothing worth dunking was worth dunking well.” And yet, here we are. These brave (and slightly foolish) souls have set their dunking price high—$2000 each—before they'll even consider climbing into the splash zone. Dignity has a price, apparently.
Lucky for us, Thunder Bay has a soft spot for mischief with a side of meaningful impact. So let’s rally behind these five fabulous targets of your generosity—because while they get soaked, the RFDA, Dew Drop Inn, and Roots Community Food Centre get the love.
It's a win-win-splash!
